The online generator creates lists from 1 to 200 in Roman numerals.

Use it to number documents, books, event plans, and any structured list with classic Roman numerals. Vertical or horizontal layouts, custom delimiters, and wrapping symbols are supported.

How to create a 1–200 Roman-numeral list

The range 1–200 is preset automatically. Follow four steps:

  • Layout: “Column” or “Row”
  • Delimiter: comma, period, dash, space, “/”, “|”, or a custom symbol
  • Preview: see the result instantly in the preview block
  • Copy: click “Generate”, then “Copy”

Additional settings

Step (interval): enter a step value, e.g. 3 → III, VI, IX… or 10 → X, XX, XXX…

Wrapping: add symbols before and after the numbers (parentheses, quotes, etc.)

Delimiters

Create a list with no delimiter (ideal for a vertical column) or pick any symbol from the menu. For a custom one, choose “Custom”.

How the Roman numeral system works

Numbers are formed by adding (VII = 5 + 1 + 1) or subtracting (IV = 5 − 1) symbols.

How do I export the list to .csv or .txt?

After generating, click “Save to file” and choose a format.

How do I add a prefix?

In the “Wrapping” field, enter text before the number, e.g. Chapter .

How do I get reverse order?

Specify from 200 to 1 instead of from 1 to 200.

How do I use custom symbols?

Choose “Custom” and enter your symbols manually.

Can delimiters contain multiple symbols?

Enter a sequence (e.g. “; ” or “–”) in the “Custom” field.
