The online tool instantly generates sequences from 1 to 80 in Roman numerals.

Ideal for numbering document sections, book volumes, event plans, and other structured lists with classic Roman numeration. Vertical and horizontal output, custom delimiters, and wrapping are supported.

How to create a 1–80 list in Roman numerals

The range 1–80 is inserted automatically. Follow four steps:

  • Format: “Column” or “Row”.
  • Delimiter: comma, period, dash, space, “/”, “|”, or your own symbol.
  • Preview: you see the result instantly.
  • Generate and copy: click “Generate”, then “Copy” — the list is in the clipboard.

Additional settings

Step (interval): enter an integer, e.g. 3 → III, VI, IX… or 10 → X, XX, XXX….

Wrapping: add characters before and after numbers (brackets, quotes, etc.).

Wrapping

No wrapping by default. To add symbols, choose a preset or type your own in “Custom”.

How the Roman numeral system works

A combination of symbols forms a number: addition (VII = 5+1+1) or subtraction (IV = 5−1).
